Violin Making

The world of violin making.

The luthiers, the music and the music box with human voice.

I came across violin making at most inconspicuos time of my life. I was still a teen and got the opportunity to change school, and got into an education environment focused on plastic arts and design, rather than mathematics and chemistry. This is the time I have had most fun with exploring different methods of self expression through the creation of tangible items.

I have done fine art, sculpting and graphics, a bit of IT and a lot of wood working. Truly time in which I shaped foundational pillars for myself.

The satisfaction of seeing something build from scrath by ones own hands is unparalleled.

From the day I held my exams to enter the school in which I could study violin making, to the present day, I have continued nurturing the flame sparked by the completion of my first instrument.

In my vocation I studied wonderful things such as harmonies and music theory, histroy of violin making and the evolution of the instrument, the meterials and methods needed for manufacturing and the careful processes followed to make the perfect varnishes.
Every single curve of the instrument itself is made by hand and once you hear it play the whole world stops.

My passion for creating things was sparked back in the day I held a chissel for the first time. My drive and determination to create were cemented when I completed my first instrument.

A passion project I would love to realise is to create a sim of the process of violin making.

Everyone can be an astronaught if they know how.

So why not be a creator of music boxes.
